Information on Classes with Vanda

Have you always dreamed of doing Stand-Up Comedy? Or do you just want to feel free in front of crowds? Imagine a "Let me at em" attitude rather than stage fright!
Learn the basics of:

  • Joke Writing
  • Finding your authentic comedic voice
  • Act-outs
  • Characters
  • Riffing
  • Dialogues
  • "Writing Up" to the height of your intelligence
  • Microphone basics
  • Being true in front of others
  • Dealing with nerves
  • Having fun!

New comics are welcome as well as those with less than a year of experience. Be prepared to do 3 -7 minutes of material & be critiqued in a supportive, womblike environment. The focus will be on brainstorming, creating contextual “chunks” and writing punch-lines that “kill” every time and supporting you in the next step for you. Choose to perform live or not.

Cost: $150.00 includes a ½ hour phone session with Vanda and an opportunity to perform at a cozy club in front of people who love you, and two 3-hour workshops.
